THE "JOHN WAYNE" — P-38 CAN OPENER
The little folding opener that opened C-rations from 1942 on — 1.5 inches of stamped steel with a folding blade that hooks the rim and walks around the lid.
The punched hole is the point for us: it rides flat on your dog tag chain, right where GIs have carried it since the ration days. Opens cans, pries lids, turns a flathead screw in a pinch. Add one to your set and your tags carry their own mess kit.
